How to register for miss Nigeria 2018.

To be the next miss Nigeria, you will need to follow the customary process of registering online on their official website.

Registration for 2018 edition of miss Nigeria is completely free. The announcement was made during a press conference held on Tuesday in Lagos.

According to the pageant’s organisers, the decision to make the form free is to allow the best Contestant emerge with restraint not placed on registration fee

“In a bid to make this year’s edition an all-inclusive one” and “to prevent financial restraints on the part of young ladies who are truly deserving of the ultimate title”.

In a statement released online, the organisers said:

“The competition is open to young ladies within the 18-25 age bracket who possess exemplary leadership qualities and can align excellently with the organisation’s mission to empower women beyond beauty.

Win Miss Nigeria crown 2018.

The organisation in its bid to bring back the essence of its establishment has highlighted six core targets that would be crucial in the selection of the ultimate winner.

These targets includes: education, environment, arts & culture, health, financial management and technology.

According to the report:

This year’s competition will not be business as usual as the winner will not be selected based on physical attributes alone but factors such as intellectual prowess, ability to function effectively within the six core targets.”

New appointment.

Ex beauty queen,Ezinne Akudo, Miss Nigeria 2013 has been appointed the creative director of the pageant.

She also noted on the core value that the pageant is looking for,she said: “We are committed to finding a young lady who defies the stereotypical perception of beauty queens as just superficial.

“Also, Miss Nigeria 2018 must embody all the attributes of a strong female leader. She must be beautiful, socially conscious and committed to positively influencing young women across the country and continent.” she added.

Star prize

The winner of the pageant will be awarded N3 million, a luxury apartment and an automobile.

Registration Date.

Call for entry starts September 26 and will end October 14.

To register, interested contestants are expected to visit MissNigeria.ng and follow the step by step guide below.

Step One:

  • Fill in the online Form
  • Print your copy sent to your email and present it at the casting venue.

 

FOR INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS, FOLLOW THE GUIDE BELOW TO REGISTER

There are two options available.

First, intending contestants can apply by submitting a YouTube video (strictly for Nigerians based outside the country)

You are expected to send a two-minute video clip of yourself stating your name, age, occupation, a brief background and why you want to be the next Miss Nigeria, upload to YouTube and email the link to info@missnigeria.ng .

Second option for international Contestant.

Record a clear video of yourself stating your full name, age, occupation, a brief background and why you want to be the next Miss Nigeria on Instagram and @missnigeriaorg. Also, ensure you use the hashtag #MissNigeria2018

As stated above, registration run from today, 26th till October 14th, 2018. Registration portal will shut down after the deadline

CRITERIA

All participants must:

  • Be between the ages of 18 and 25 years old
  • Must Be a citizens citizen of Nigeria
  • Must boost of a good health condition and character.
  • Not necessarily married, mothers or pregnant
  • Should be able to speak fluent English
  • Contestants with tattoos or piercings are not allowed to register.

DOCUMENTS TO BE PRESENTED AT CASTING VENUE

1.An ID card and a copy of birth certificate

2.Two recent photographs (head- to- shoulder and one full length). No Return Of photos after submission.
