This year’s edition had 51 female contestants representing all 50 states and the District of Columbia competed for the coveted title

At the end, Miss Oklahoma Triana Browne was named second runner-up, Miss New Mexico Alejandra Gonzalez named first runner-up and Cheslie Kryst, 28, was crowned Miss USA 2019.

Asked in the final round to use one word to summarize her generation, Cheslie Kryst of Charlotte said “innovative.”
“I’m standing here in Nevada, in the state that has the first female majority legislature in the entire country,” she said at the event held for the first time in Reno. “Mine is the first generation to have that forward-looking mindset that has inclusivity, diversity, strength and empowered women. I’m looking forward to continued progress in my generation.”
With her win at the Miss USA competition, Kryst is now set to represent America in the Miss Universe pageant held later this year.
The winners were chosen by a committee which was comprised of accomplished female entrepreneurs, business leaders and industry experts, including former pageant winners.
Expectedly, the miss Usa 2019 contestants included women working in numerous fields, such as journalists, entrepreneurs, a Physical Operations Specialist in the U.S. Army Reserve, doctoral students, active and aspiring attorneys, and first-generation Americans, among others.

1.Chelsie was crowned by her predecessor, Miss USA 2018 Sarah Rose Summers, in a ceremony hosted by Nick and Vanessa Lachey.
2.She is a recipient of both a law degree and an MBA from Wake Forest University.
3. Aside Modeling and pageantry, Cheslie is also the founder and chief contributor of the fashion site White Collar Glam.
4. She is a 28-year-old model cum lawyer from North Carolina who represents prison inmates for free.
5. Beyond pageantry and a legal career in law, Cheslie is also a former Division I athlete, having competed in track and field during her college years
